Explore Hana from a new perspective, with surf lessons in paradise with Keli Everett.  Keli will guide you to some of Maui’s most beautiful beaches, Hamoa and Koki.  A fun filled adventure you and your family will never forget. 

Lesson Information

Beginner Lesson: Starts with 15 minutes of basic water safety and surf technique including paddling out, foot position, reading ocean conditions, catching and riding waves.  The remainder of the lesson will be spent having fun in the water with Keli giving you tips on technique and style.  All equipment is provided (board, leash, rash guard, sunscreen). $120 for a private lesson for 1.5 hours. $200 for a group lesson for 1.5 hours.

Surf Guide/Coach: For people with some previous surf experience of any level looking for a local to take them out to secluded surf spots. Keli will be there by your side to work on reading ocean conditions, proper surf technique and etiquette to build your confidence making all your surfing experiences more enjoyable. Prices negotiable.

V.I.P. Lesson: An unforgettable experience tailored for you!  May include, but not limited to, transportation, catering (breakfast/lunch), tours, privacy, and professional photography. Prices negotiable.

Keli’s Background

Local Hana boy Keli grew up surfing the beaches and rocky shores of his home in East Maui. Few have spent as much time in the water in Hana as Keli.  He has participated in competition in the Hawaiian Islands and through out the world winning all the Pro-Am events on Maui several times.  He has done well in ASP (Association of Surfing Professionals) contests on the North Shore of Oahu and in California, and was ranked 358th in the world in 2010.  Keli’s travels have taken him to unique surf spots in Canada, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Japan, Mexico, Tahiti, New York, just to name a few (waves surfed- Jaws, Honolua Bay, Pipeline, Sunset, Teahupoo, Macaronis, Zippers, Salsa Brava, Huntington Beach, Lower Trestles).  Keli’s coaching experience includes heading the Hawaiian Energy Surf Team for several years, coach of the Interscholastic Surf Team for Hana High School and personal coach for youth in the area.  He now resides full time in Hana working on his organic fruit farm with his new family.
